The Calahonda beach has a length of 4,5 kilometres and a width of about 25 metres. The beach is placed next to the sports port of Cabopino which is why a part of the Calahonda beach belongs to Marbella. It is a beach consisting of fine sand. There is no seafront. It is forbidden to take dogs to the beach. In 2019 the Calahonda beach was marked with a blue flag. The so-called Bandera Azul
is a sign of quality for clean beaches and high quality of water. Rescue swimmers only take care of the beach during the summer season.
