The natural beach of Almayate has a length of more than 3.500 and a width of about 30 to 50 metres. It is a beach consisting of dark sand. There is no seafront. But there are some beach-restaurants and bus-stops. It is forbidden to take dogs to the beach. Rescue swimmers only take care of the beach during the summer months.

It is forbidden to take dogs to the beach. In 2022 the beach was marked with a blue flag. The so-called Bandera Azul is a sign of quality for clean beaches and high quality of water. Rescue swimmers only take care of the beach during the summer season.
