The Pimentel tower
The guard and defense tower of Pimentel was built around 1300 by the Nasrid, the last Moorish dynasty of the Emirate of Granada (1232-1492). They once called the tower Torre Molinos. After the conquest of the province by Catholic kings, the tower was finally renamed Torre de Pimentel - in memory of the military that supported the kings. The twelve meter high tower has two floors, windows facing the sea and a terrace. It was also declared as cultural asset. (Editor/Photos/Video: mit – Source: Tourism Office Torremolinos)
