"I find people very interesting, which is why most of the pictures show people in an artistic way", the artist explained. Her style has changed a lot over the past seven years. "Long time ago I mainly painted realistic oil paintings on canvas. Now my works have become much freer and more experimental. They are made of acrylic, chalk and pastel, and I use cartons, recycled paper, rice paper or newsprint as painting surface." Every single artwork by Simone is based on a story. These are explained to the viewer in the gallery by a small table, in order to increase the effect of the picture to the viewer.
