Explanation: In the 2023 municipal elections, 117.677 (49,17%) voters supported the PP. The PSOE received 69.840 (29,21%) votes, Vox received 18.476 (7,72%) votes and Con Andalucía garnered 17.655 (7,38%) votes. The PP has 17, the PSOE has 10, Vox has 2 and Con Andalucía has 2 councillors.
History
For the first nine years after Franco, Torremolinos was part of the city of Málaga, which is why Torremolinos and Málaga had the same mayor from 1979 to 1988.
