Puerto Banús

Puerto Banús Marina was built by José Banús in the 1960s and opened in 1970. It is located in Marbella's district "Nueva Andalucía". The port received the Gold Medal for tourist merit in 1975, as well as the Gold Mercury International Prize for the economic, social and cultural development of the city of Marbella. Over the past decades, the port has been visited by many famous people, which has also made Puerto Banús internationally known. In addition, since 1990 the port has had its own Walk of Fame on the Boulevard de la Fama, on which personalities such as Julio Iglesias, Montserrat Caballé, the Duquesa de Alba and others have their own star.

The yachts and sports boats that are moored in the harbor are in the upper price segment. The port environment has developed accordingly: luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana have their shops directly on the port's quay. Luxury vehicles such as Porsche, Bentley, Maserati, Hummer, Ferrari and Lamborghini are often parked in front of these shops.
