Christmas in Malaga: These events you should not miss
Malaga offers its residents and tourists plenty of activities and shows during the Christmas season: whether it's ice skating at "El Corte Inglés", strolling through the Christmas market at the Muelle Uno or visiting the light show in Calle Larios. Christmas in Málaga is something special.
The Christmas lights will be switched on this year on November 26 at 19h by the singer Vanesa Martín, who comes from Málaga. Those who want to see the event live should be on time at the entrance area of Calle Larios. Afterwards, the music group "Andy y Lucas" will live perform. It's their 20th anniversary on stage.
Due to the energy shortage this year, the lighting will be on at certain times: it will be turned on daily at 18.30h. From Sundays to Wednesdays, the lights will be on until midnight each day, and from Thursdays to Saturdays until 2 o'clock in the morning. On December 24 and 31, the lights will stay on until 6 o'clock in the morning each day.
Christmas lights show in Calle Larios:
This year there will be a light show in Calle Larios again. It can be seen daily at 18.30h, 20h and 22h, except on December 24 and 31. The songs that will play to the show are "Carol of the bells" and "Jingle bells". In addition, the tunnel of lights has been newly decorated. A total of 16 angels have been installed.
