Fashion Week: This is how Málaga's pedestrian zone turns into the longest catwalk in Europe
Every year at the end of summer the Pasarela Larios is celebrated on Calle Larios. On two consecutive evenings, numerous local, national and international designers present their new collections. The catwalk stretches 300 meters along the entire Calle Larios. This makes the Pasarela Larios currently the longest catwalk in Europe. Anyone interested can view this event free of charge on site.
The preparation
Around noon the entire infrastructure is already in place: the tents are set up, the carpet is laid, the entire sound system is being tested. From 18h the first spectators take their seats on the chairs that are set up in several rows throughout Calle Larios. Shortly before the start, numerous celebrities, the designers and their models finally arrive.Video impressions: Shortly before it starts
The event begins
It's just after 20 o'clock. The presenter (in previous years this has always been the well-known Spanish journalist and communications expert Jacqueline Campos) steps onto the blue carpet and greets the audience. She explains what viewers can expect on the two evenings. Then it starts. The designers and their collections are introduced one after the other – represented by female and male models and accompanied by classical catwalk music. The darker it gets in the evening, the more interesting and exciting the fashion show looks.Video impressions: The show
